![]() ![]() As springtime approaches, our western coastline becomes active with many migratory species. Redfish and Trout are covering the flats in search of baitfish and crustaceans. The biggest Snook of the season are coming out of their winter hibernation and eating aggressively on whitebait or sardines thrown their way. They are actively feeding due in part to the warming of the Suncoast waters. As bait schools show up in the nearby Gulf of Mexico, Tarpon migrate up our coastline and can be seen rolling on the surface in pods. These silver kings make for great sight-fishing as we maneuver the boat within casting range. Overall , Florida's West Central Coast is a great springtime destination to get out and catch a lot of different hard fighting species. ![]() |
